Motley Mutts Rescue is a registered nonprofit and 501c3
Motley Mutts Rescue was formed by a few friends wanting to rescue dogs. Our goal is to offer support to the rescuers in the south, primarily Mississippi, and provide loving homes for the dogs they rescue. We have two licensed homes in New Hampshire where people can meet and adopt dogs by appointment. We rescue any size, breed mix, or age.
Where do the dogs come from?
Motley Mutts come primarily from Mississippi, where there is a large problem with overpopulation and no community support. Oftentimes, our rescue dogs are found abandoned or dumped in the yards of known rescuers in the community. We typically don’t have a history on abandoned pups, but we focus heavily on their journey going forward.
Our rescue partners in Mississippi are the true heroes. We have long lasting friendships with these folks from working with them year after a year. The dogs often stay in their care the longest and at their lowest. The dogs often show up underfed, full of parasites, wounded, and afraid. Our southern team works tirelessly to nurture and lift the spirits of the dogs in their care until they are ready for transport. We couldn’t do what we do without them. One of our main goals is to be able to provide all the needed resources for these folks and the dogs in their care.
